Plants rooting in the earth, corals inhabiting in the ocean - they are absorbing carbon dioxide and releasing oxygen.
In other words, they are breathing as we humans and we are exchanging what we need each other with breathing.
"Breath" is called "Iki" in Japanese and it has a same pronunciation with the word which has a meaning of "Live".
